This barn conversion is located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty overlooking the Camel estuary on Cornwall’s northern coast. Our approach to the client’s brief for a review of the entrance arrangements and ground floor accommodation, included a sensitive extension in keeping with the existing detailing and materials but creating a modern open plan arrangement with increased levels of natural light. The local authority commended the design response having previously advised the client that no development would be possible.
