Lindley Architects were approached by a developer interested in purchasing this heavily constrained site adjacent to railway tracks in north London. We were asked to prepare a preliminary design study for the redevelopment of the site on the Great North Road that includes the East Finchley Sub-station as well as the adjoining sites occupied by offices. The brief required the study to consider optimisation of development upon the site for the purpose of costing and feasibility to include for: replacement office space; convenience retail at ground floor level; high value residential apartments with parking.
